A pre-purchase inspection is the cheapest insurance available in a used-car market this active. Cars in the UAE change hands frequently, come from a variety of sources, and are often presented at their best on a driveway rather than on a lift. Two hours of inspection before money changes hands routinely finds several thousand dirhams of deferred work, and occasionally finds something that ends the conversation entirely. Either outcome is worth the cost.

What we look at goes beyond the obvious. Paint depth readings across every panel show where a car has been repainted and how well. Chassis alignment reveals impact damage that a repaint hides. Underbody inspection on a lift shows corrosion, leaks and previous repairs that are invisible with the car on the ground. A full diagnostic scan reads stored and pending faults across all modules, including the ones a seller has cleared recently — those leave traces.

The report is written and photographed. Every item we flag is documented so you can show it to a seller, use it in negotiation, or simply keep it as a baseline for the car you have just bought. We separate faults that need immediate attention from wear that is normal for the age and mileage, because a report that lists everything without ranking it is not much use to anyone.

A multi-point health check on a car you already own serves a different purpose. Rather than answering “should I buy this”, it answers “what will this car need over the next six months”. That is genuinely useful for budgeting, for deciding whether to keep a car or sell it, and for catching the small items that become expensive when ignored. Brake fluid condition, tyre age, suspension bushes and fluid leaks are all things that give plenty of warning if anyone is looking.

Bring the car to the workshop where possible. A lift, proper lighting and diagnostic equipment find things that a car park inspection cannot, and a seller unwilling to allow a workshop inspection has answered a question you did not need to ask. Where that genuinely is not possible we will discuss what can be done, but we will be honest that it is a lesser check.

Timing matters when buying. Sellers occasionally push for a decision before an inspection can be arranged, and that pressure is itself information. A car with nothing to hide survives two hours on a lift comfortably. If a seller will not allow the check, or will only allow it somewhere of their choosing, you have learned something useful without spending anything. We can usually fit an inspection within a day or two, and we will tell you honestly if we cannot.
